Perfect Polish Manicure
Rules

Competitors will have 60 minutes to complete a full manicure on both hands of the model. Work must be performed on natural nails only.

Competitors may use any manicure technique: classic, e-file, or combined. Only the final result will be judged, not the technique used.

One hand must be polished with RED regular nail polish.

The opposite hand must be polished with a classic French, using regular nail polish only.

Only products from regular nail polish technology are allowed at the workstation.

This includes regular base coat, regular nail polish, and regular top coat.

Gel, gel polish, acrylic, builder products, or any enhancement or strengthening materials are strictly prohibited.

The model’s nails must be completely natural, free of damage, and without any artificial material or residue from previous products.

Cleansing products are allowed, including water, oils, and moisturizers.

Excessive oil or visible cream residue on the nails or skin will result in point deductions.

All tools must be clean and sterile, and the workstation must be properly sanitized before the competition begins.

The model’s hands may be cleansed prior to the official start time, but no manipulation of the nails or cuticles is allowed before the competition begins.

The underside of the nails must be clean and free from dust or debris.
-
No artwork, decoration, or nail design of any kind is allowed in this category.

The manicure will be judged in the following areas: cuticle work, sidewall preparation, proximal fold preparation, technique execution, red polish application, French polish application, product control, finish work, nail shape and length, structure and lateral view, underside cleanliness, overall impression.
JUDGE 1
Cuticle Work – 10 Points
– cuticle area is clean, even, and well refined
– no cuts, abrasions, hangnails, or irritation
– cuticle line is defined, neat, and consistent on all nails
Sidewall Preparation – 10 Points
– both sidewalls are evenly refined
– no damage, redness, or rough skin present
– lateral lines are clean and symmetrical
Proximal Fold Work – 10 Points
– proximal fold area is smoothly and completely prepared
– no cuts, unevenness, or rough texture
– area appears professional and well finished
Technique Execution – 5 Points
– proper tool control throughout the service
– smooth, confident, and precise movements
– professional level of execution
JUDGE 2
Red Polish Application – 10 Points
– red polish completely covers the entire nail
– application is close to the cuticle without flooding
– free edge is fully and evenly polished
– application is smooth, even, and clean
French Polish Application – 10 Points
– smile lines are clear, crisp, and symmetrical
– white polish evenly covers the free edge
– no streaks, gaps, or shadows present
– application is smooth and balanced
Product Control – 10 Points
– no pooling of polish in cuticle area or sidewalls
– polish thickness is consistent on all nails
– no visible residue of oils or creams
– base coat and top coat are applied evenly
Finish Work – 5 Points
– nails are thoroughly clean (absence of dust)
– edges are smooth and refined
– overall finish is neat and complete
JUDGE 3
Nail Shape & Length – 10 Points
– shape is consistent from finger to finger
– length is even and proportional between matching nails
– nail shape and length complement the model’s hands
– free-edge line is clean and straight
Structure & Lateral View – 10 Points
– nail surface is smooth and even
– no bumps, dips, or irregularities
– sidewalls are straight and symmetrical
– structure looks balanced from the lateral view
Underside Cleanliness – 5 Points
– underside of the nails is clean
– free from dust, debris, or polish residue
– underside of both hands appears consistent
Overall Impression – 5 Points
– manicure looks professional and well balanced
– work is clean, harmonious, and finished
– all competition rules were followed
